Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for where she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. Can speak French, German, English and Romanian well. Her mother was a violinist She has a father who is a theatre professor at one of Romania's best acting schools. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award during the young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008 she was named an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. An actress with Romanian origin, Anamaria Marinca made her debut in the film industry with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. In addition to her outstanding performance in the film she made her debut she will also remember her work in the Romanian Art Film 4 months 3, 2 and 3 days that earned her numerous distinctions including her the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. The actress acted as an actress from Romania in Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and saptamani si 2 zile (four months three weeks and two three weeks and two days) which was awarded The Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared in the film of Francis Ford Copola Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim Anwar in BBC miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca performed as Yasim in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, along with on the Romanian Drama Boogie. Later, she had a major role in 2014's Fury in which she played Irma Emma's German mother of Emma.
